
On February 25, 2023, at 1450 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched for reports of a house fire in the 3700 block of Lower Huntington Road.
Time of Alarm: 1450 hours
On Scene: 1454 hours
Under Control: 1527 hours
Firefighters arrived on the scene and found a one-story home with a lower-level garage with heavy fire visible from the front windows and front door. Crews pulled multiple hose lines and began attacking the fire from the interior and exterior of the home. Crews brought the fire under control in just over 30 minutes and did an extensive overhaul of the structure to make sure all the areas of fire spread were extinguished.
The Homeowner self-evacuated safely and her cat also was able to escape the home on its own.
Fire investigators are on scene determining the cause of the fire.
