
On October 18, 2024, at 1612 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 2200 block of Oliver Street, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1612 hours
On Scene: 1612 hours
Under Control: 1700 hours
Upon arrival, Engine 11 found a large two-story house on fire that had spread to the adjacent home. The fire incident was Coded a 705. Five Engines Companies and Two Truck companies battled heavy fire from both structures. Fire Crews were able to extinguish fire of both structures in about 45 minutes. Fire crews performed search of both structures with nobody found. The house of origin had several apartments, and the exposure house was vacant. Three people safely self – evacuated the house of origin prior to fire crews making scene. Fire crews performed salvage and overhaul of structures. Fire investigators made scene and investigated cause and origin.

Assisting the Fort Wayne Fire Department: FWFD were assisted by FWPD, TRAA medics, AEP, Nipsco, NCE, and American Red Cross. Cause and origin of fire are under investigation by Fort Fire Investigators.
