On September 10, 2024, at 1305 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a barn fire in the 9800 block of Maysville Road.
Time of Alarm: 1305 hours
On Scene: 1308 hours
Under Control: 1318 hours
Engine 4 arrived to find an approximately 25′ x 35′ storage barn fully engulfed in fire. The owner stated that there was not much in the barn. Crews established a water supply and extinguished the fire. No Injuries were reported and the fire was declared accidental in nature. Stellhorn Road had to be shut down for about an hour due to water supply hoses running across the road. The Forty Wayne Police Department assisted with traffic control.
