
On August 7, 2024, at 1747 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched for a possible house fire in the 1600 block of East Cook Road in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1747 hours
On Scene: 1747 hours
Under Control: 1755 hours
FWFD units arrived on scene at the given address and were directed to an outside basement door, where an unconscious adult male victim of the fire was found. The victim was removed from the home by a bystander. Fort Wayne Firefighters and Three Rivers Ambulance Authority medics proceeded to render medical care to the victim, but the victim passed away from their injuries. Fort Wayne Police Department members responded and assisted on scene. Fire Investigators are currently working the scene as it is still under investigation.
