FWFD: Duplex Fire, 10600 block Wood Flower Court

On August 2, 2024, at 1144 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a possible house fire in the 10600 block of Wood Flower Court in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1144 hours
On Scene: 1149 hours
Under Control: 1208 hours

The first unit arrived and found light smoke coming from the structure. Upon further investigation, the crews found a dryer that was on fire. The fire was quickly extinguished and the dryer was removed from the structure. There were two people at home that self-evacuated prior to the firefighters arrival. Three cats were also found and removed.

The fire started in the dryer.

Fire Damage: Minor
Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
