On July 6, 2024, at 1834 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to the report of a residential structure fire in the 1700 block of Lough Nest Court.
Time of Alarm: 1834 hours
On Scene: 1842 hours
Under Control: 1855 hours
The first Engine arrived on the scene and found heavy smoke and fire coming from the attic area of the house. Crews pulled a line and started extinguishing the fire and searched the home for any occupants. No one was home. One dog was home and was let out as firefighters entered the house. The dog was reunited with the homeowners.
The fire was cleared by investigators and finding it was accidental in nature. The fire was extinguished and crews remained on scene checking for hot spots.
