On March 19, 2024, at 1524 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a detached garage fire in the 1700 block of Getz Road.
Time of Alarm: 1524 hours
On Scene: 1526 hours
Under Control: 1539 hours
The first firefighters on the scene reported heavy fire involvement. The Fort Wayne Police Department shut down Getz Road so firefighters could access the hydrants on the opposite side of the road. The fire was extinguished in less than 15 minutes.
Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the garage structure with no extension in to the house.
No injuries were reported.
