On February 16, 2024, at 20:54 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a report of smoke in the building in the 800 block of Tennessee Avenue.

On Scene: 20:59 hours
Under Control: 21:13 hours
Units arrived to find occupants outside and minor smoke in the second floor hallway. Crews opened up the ceilings and found fire in the attic and wall areas. Lines were deployed while other crews made sure everyone was out of the immediate area. One dog came out of the apartment next to the fire. The fire was contained to the area, extinguished and overhauled.
No injuries were reported at this time.
The fire is currently under investigation.
