
On February 4, 2024, at 1901 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to 4101 Lake Avenue on the report of smoke coming from a building with the fire alarm sounding.
Time of Alarm: 1901 hours
On Scene: 1903 hours
Under Control: 1911 hours
When crews arrived, smoke was showing from multiple areas of the building and the roof area. Crews forced entry into the building and made sure no one was inside. Crews made a quick attack on the fire and contained it to a small area in the ceiling of the building. The fire was brought under control and crews remained on scene working to remove burnt insulation in the attic area.
Fire Damage: Minor
Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Moderate
Fire investigators made the scene and found the cause to be electrical in nature. No injuries were reported at the scene.
