FWPD Update: Shooting Suspect Captured

The Fort Wayne Police Department has apprehended Fatir Mumin Muhammad who was wanted in connection with a shooting investigation from December 14, 2021.

Fort Wayne Police Department email update:

Fatir Mumin Muhammad was arrested in a traffic stop on 12/19/21 at 12:44 am without incident. Fatir Muhammad was arrested in connection with the shooting that occurred on 12/14/21 at 8:18 am on 2700 W. Washington Center Rd.

Suspect Arrested: Fatir Mumin Muhammad, 53 year old male

Preliminary Charges:

  1. Attempted Murder, Level 1 Felony
  2. Attempted Murder, Level 1 Felony
  3. Burglary with bodily injury

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
