The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a multiple vehicle traffic accident that occurred today, at 1113 hours, at the intersection of Coliseum Boulevard and Crescent Avenue.

Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a multiple vehicle traffic accident that occurred today, shortly after 11 am at the intersection of Coliseum Blvd. and Crescent Ave. Initial witness information indicates that a red passenger car was traveling North on Crescent Ave. and ran the red light at Coliseum/Crescent crashing into a white work van that was headed East on Coliseum. The impact of that crash caused another crash with a black pickup truck and a white pickup truck which were traveling West on Coliseum Blvd.
The driver of the red passenger car was an adult female who was pronounced critical at the scene by medics. There were no other injuries reported at the scene. She was transported by TRAA to a local hospital where she was upgraded to non-life threatening condition. The intersection remained closed during the course of the initial investigation and was opened back up once concluded.
This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
