On October 20, 2022 at 1800 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department took two individuals into custody in reference to the shooting investigation in the 1100 block of Fayette Drive.
On October 20, 2022, at 0130 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was patrolling the area of the 1100 block of Fayette Drive when they heard shots fired.

Details/Summary:
On Thursday October 20, 2022, at approximately 1:30AM officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department were patrolling when they heard shots fired nearby their location. Additional officers responded to that area to search for the source of the shots fired. Shortly afterwards the 911 center started to receive several phones regarding someone shot outside in the area of the 1100 block of Fayette Dr. Officers arrived on scene to find an adult male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Paramedics provided medical attention to the male victim before transporting him to a local hospital with life threatening injuries.
Investigators and crime scene technicians are documenting the scene to determine what lead to the shooting. Investigators are asking anyone with information about the shooting to contact the Fort Wayne Police Department at 427-1201, Crime Stoppers at 436-7867, or use the free “P3 Tips” app.
This incident is being investigated by the Fort Wayne Police Department Homicide Team and the Allen County Prosecutors Office
