Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a shooting that occurred August 27th (Saturday), at 1:25am outside the common area of Westland Mall located at the 6100 block of Jefferson Blvd. Preliminary information indicates that a physical altercation ensued between two groups began inside Mitchell’s Sports Bar and spilled out into the common area of the mall. During the altercation gunshots were fired and an uninvolved adult female was struck. The female was rendered aid at the scene and transported to a local hospital in non-life threatening condition. The perpetrators fled the scene after the shooting. A short time later, an adult male arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds related to this incident. The adult male was in non-life threatening condition.
