FWFD: House Fire, 2900 block Pennsylvania Street

On August 2, 2025, at 1606 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department responded to a reported house fire in the 2800 block of Pennsylvania Street.

Time of Alarm: 1606 hours
On Scene: 1610 hours
Under Control: 1619 hours

The first Fire Engine arrived within 3 minutes to find a two-story house with smoke from the upstairs windows. Firefighters made entry and quickly located a fire in an upstairs bedroom. The fire was extinguished by the first arriving crew. An aggressive search of the structure found no victims.

The fire was brought under control in 15 minutes and confined to the room of origin.

The house was occupied by two adults at the time of the fire, and they self-evacuated prior to the arrival of the Fire Department.

There were no injuries.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
