As contractors move into a new phase of installing a 12-inch diameter water main along Lahmeyer Road, a portion of the work moves to East State Boulevard this week.

Traffic Alert: Lahmeyer Road Project continues – Moves to East State Boulevard
Fort Wayne, Indiana (July 27, 2025) – As contractors move into a new phase of installing a 12-inch diameter water main along Lahmeyer Road, a portion of the work moves to East State Boulevard this week.
Beginning early Monday morning, July 28, 2025, the eastbound turn lane at East State Boulevard and Lahmeyer, at Blackhawk Christian Schools, will be closed.
The lane restriction on East State, along with the already closed Lahmeyer, is expected to last through late August.
A detour for Lahmeyer between State and Trier Road remains in place, with Maplecrest Road serving as the primary north-south detour route.
