The Fort Wayne Police Department is looking for help in a shooting investigation from December 21, 2021, in the 2700 block of Taylor Street in which an elderly woman was critically injured.

On December 23rd 2021 at approximately 11:00 p.m. two males arrived in the 2000 block of Taylor Street in a light color, possibly grey or silver Ford Escape.

The males rang a doorbell and when answered they opened fire on, and struck an innocent elderly woman. It is believed that the males went to the wrong house and the injured female was completely innocent and the wrong person.
