
On July 5, 2025, just after midnight, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to the area of Harrison and Pearl Streets on a “problem unknown” call.

Details/Summary:
4 injured in shooting downtown.
On Saturday, July 5th just after midnight officers were dispatched to the area of Harrison and Pearl on a “Problem Unknown”. When officers arrived, they found 3 individuals suffering apparent gunshot wounds. Officers began life saving measures on a juvenile victim until medics arrived. All 3 were then transported to a local hospital, 2 in stable condition and the 3rd in life threatening condition. During this, a 4th victim walked into the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. All 4 victims are between the ages of 15 and 18.
This incident remains under investigation with the Fort Wayne Police Department, and the Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. At 1910 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department sent the following update, via email:
The 16 year old Male victim previously listed in life threatening condition died this morning at the hospital.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
