
On June 17, 2025, at 0635 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to the report of a house fire in the 6400 block of Maywood Circle.

Firefighters arrived on the scene to find a homeowner spraying a garden hose through a window. Firefighters entered the home with a hose line and aggressively attacked and extinguished the fire. Occupants had self-evacuated after having been alerted by another occupant and a smoke detector. Other firefighters searched the home and rescued a dog from the fire.
The house was cleared of smoke and investigators determined the fire was accidental.
