On August 10, 2023, the FWPD Homicide Unit took a juvenile into custody, without incident, who is suspected in the August 1, 2023, shooting investigation at Lafayette Park near the intersection of Lafayette Esplanade and Glencoe Avenue.

Details/Summary:
On August 10th, 2023, the FWPD Homicide Unit took into custody a juvenile at South Side High school without incident for a previous shooting investigation on August 1st, 2023 at Lafayette Park near the intersection of Lafayette Esplanade and Glencoe Ave.. The juvenile was transported to ACJC for the charges of Aggravated Battery and Criminal Recklessness. Assisting in this investigation was Allen County Prosecuting Attorney’s office.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
