Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a life-threatening crash that occurred at approximately 9:07AM August 5th, 2023 502 Hamilton Ave. Preliminary information indicates a bicyclist was struck by a black sedan, which fled the scene.
Officers arrived in the area and discovered the cyclist, an adult female, suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was rendered aid on scene and transported to a local hospital. The Fatal Accident Crash Team made the scene and closed the roadway, while processing the scene. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department FACT team.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
