On March 5, 2023, at 1547 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of North Anthony Boulevard and Tilden Avenue, in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries.

Details/Summary:
On March 5, 2023 officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to the intersection of N. Anthony Blvd. and Tilden Ave, in reference to a single vehicle accident with injuries.
The vehicle was traveling north in the 1300 block of N. Anthony Blvd. by an adult male when it went off the road striking a pole. The vehicle continued north and struck a tree head on in the 1400 block of N. Anthony Blvd. Speed and alcohol do not appear to be the cause of the crash at this time.
Medics arrived on scene and provided medical attention and transported the male to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
The Fort Wayne Police Department FACT (Fatal Accident Team) and ASU (Air Support Unit) was called out to the scene for a thorough investigation.
This incident remains under investigation by the City of Fort Wayne Police. The identity of the male has not been released at this time.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
