Monthly Revenue Report – April 2025

Indianapolis, Indiana (May 9, 2025) – The monthly revenue report for April 2025 state tax collections is posted online.

Highlights from the commentary (from the report):

  • General Fund revenues for April totaled $2,987.1 million, which is $51.1 million (1.7%) below the estimate based on the April 16, 2025 revenue forecast but $273.7 million (10.1%) above revenue in April 2024.
  • Sales tax collections totaled $897.8 million for April, which is $2.0 million (0.2%) below the monthly estimate but $22.5 million (2.6%) above revenue in April 2025.
  • Individual income tax collections totaled $1,717.2 million for April, which is $45.3 million (2.7%) above the monthly estimate and $246.5 million (16.8%) above revenue in April 2024.
  • Corporate tax collections totaled $197.7 million for April, which is $113.4 million (36.5%) below the monthly estimate and $2.9 million (1.4%) below revenue in April 2024.
  • Riverboat wagering tax collections totaled $36.5 million for April, which is $1.8 million (4.6%) below the monthly estimate but $0.8 million (2.4%) above revenue in April 2024.
  • Racino wagering tax collections totaled $13.6 million for April, which is $0.7 million (5.0%) above the monthly estimate and $0.8 million (6.1%) above revenue in April 2024.
