Allen County Commissioner Rich Beck was awarded statewide recognition at the Greenways Foundation’s event last week in Indianapolis.

Allen County Brings Home Two Greenways Foundation Awards
Allen County, Indiana (May 1, 2025) – Commissioner Rich Beck was awarded statewide recognition at the Greenways Foundation’s event last week in Indianapolis.
At their annual Trails Celebration, the Greenways Foundation recognizes the best of the best in the State of Indiana for promoting trails in the following categories: Outstanding Public Official, Outstanding Trail Advocate (2 awarded), Outstanding Trail Group, Outstanding Local Government, Outstanding Trail Project, and Outstanding Corporation.
Commissioner Beck received the “Outstanding Public Official” award for his advocacy and hands-on work to promote trails and improve outdoor spaces that can be enjoyed now and for years to come.
Another great recognition for Allen County at the awards ceremony was winning the “Outstanding Trail Project” for the Allen County Equestrian Course. Commissioner Beck shared, “It was pretty amazing for Allen County to bring home 2 out of the 7 statewide awards. It was confirmation that we’re on the right track with our investment in county trails projects.”
Commissioner Beck accepted the horse trails award along with representatives from Three Rivers Horse Trails, Inc., which is a local nonprofit that partners with the county to help maintain the Allen County Equestrian Course.
