Details/Summary:
The Fort Wayne Police Department is investigating a life-threatening crash that occurred at 4:23PM March 16th, 2024 near the intersection of Parnell Ave and Glazier Ave. Preliminary information indicates the crash involved a single vehicle crash occurred, when a moped traveling Southbound on Parnell Ave. drove over the curb and struck a roadside pole.
Upon arrival, emergency personnel discovered the driver and sole occupant of the moped, an adult female, suffering from life-threatening injuries. She was rendered aid on scene and transported to a local hospital, where the victim was stabilized and upgraded to a non-life-threatening condition. The Fatal Accident Crash Team made the scene and closed all the roadway, while processing the scene. Parnell Ave has since been reopened, but Glazier Ave remains closed. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department FACT team.
