Details/Summary:
The Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS) notified the Fort Wayne Police Department about suspected child abuse involving a six (6) years old child that went to school with injuries. Detective Michelle Brown, an investigator with the FWPD Crimes Against Persons Section (CAPS), was assigned to the case. The child participated in a Forensic Interview at the Dr. Bill Lewis Center For Children. He disclosed being physically abused by his mother, Ayobami Ufot. An arrest warrant was later issued for the alleged defendant’s arrest. She was taken into custody on July 16, 2024 by Officers from the Allen County Sheriff’s Department.
