Details/Summary:
On Thursday, September 5, 2024, at approximately 5:07PM, officers with FWPD responded to reports of shots fired in the 6500 Block of St Joe Rd. Upon arriving in the area, officers located a male, adult suffering from a gunshot wound. Medics responded to the scene and stabilized the victim, who was then transported to a local hospital. After arrival at the hospital, the victim’s condition was downgraded to life-threatening. Officers on scene located and arrested the suspect, who was also a male, adult.
FWPD Detectives and Crime Scene Technicians were paged to process the scene and collect evidence. This incident remains under investigation by the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.
