FWPD: Traffic stop results in seizure of 10 lbs. Meth and an AK Rifle

On October 8, 2024, a traffic stop at Lima Road and Coliseum Boulevard led to a seizure of 10 pounds of methamphetamine, AK Assault Rifle, several magazines of ammunition, and three arrests.

Traffic stop leads to seizure of 10lbs of methamphetamine and an AK rifle.

On October 8, 2024, a traffic stop led to a joint investigation between the Fort Wayne Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Shortly after 10:00am, detectives noticed two different vehicles traveling near Lima and Coliseum that committed traffic infractions. Both vehicles were stopped and in the first vehicle, detectives found 10lbs of methamphetamine along with a male armed with an AK rifle. The second vehicle had a smaller amount. Three males were arrested and will face federal charges. They were booked into the Huntington County Jail.
