On November 15th, 2024, at 16:03, 21yo Jalan Carpenter was arrested in a high-risk traffic stop at the intersection of Lima Road and Wallen Road. Jalan Carpenter faces one count of murder for the 2021 homicide of John Peterson. The Homicide Unit vigorously pursued the criminal case, with the assistance of the Allen County Prosecutors Office. Assisting in the arrest was the Gang and Violent Crime Unit, the Vice and Narcotics Division, the Aerial Support Team and the Indiana State Police. Jalen Carpenter is currently at the Allen County Jail.
