The FWPD Air Support Unit would like to alert drone pilots and hobbyists about two upcoming events which will require pilots to file a notification to the department.

Drone notification reminder for HolidayFest events
The Fort Wayne Police Department Air Support Unit would like to alert drone pilots and hobbyists about two events coming soon to Fort Wayne.
The upcoming Broadway Christmas Lighting on November 19th will be a public event with a permit and therefore falls under the city drone ordinance (96.30). The Downtown Santa Lighting on November 24th, 2021, will be a public event, in the city’s downtown aerial district and will also fall under the city drone ordinance. Both events require that the drone form on the City of Fort Wayne’s website be completed.
