On March 17, 2026, at 1753 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 4600 block of Thornley Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Under Control: 1817 hours
A resident who had returned home found his home full of smoke and called 9-1-1. FWFD Engines 5 and 2 arrived. Firefighters entered the home to ensure there were no occupants in the building. The search for the fire in the smoke-filled areas was conducted and found in a game room at the rear of the house. Other fire crews responded to support the first arriving companies. The fire was brought under control in approximately twenty-five minutes.
The fire was still under investigation at this time.
No injuries were reported.
