On March 5, 2026, at 1217 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to assist the Parkview Police Department with a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in front of Parkview Hospital on West State Boulevard.

On March 5, 2026, officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to assist Parkview Police with a vehicle-versus-pedestrian crash in front of Parkview Hospital. The pedestrian, an adult female, was immediately transported into the Parkview Emergency Room by medical staff, where she was determined to be in life-threatening condition.
Preliminary information indicates the pedestrian was crossing State Street southbound at Leroy Avenue when a vehicle traveling south on Leroy turned westbound onto State Street and struck her. The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
