On February 4, 2026, at 1700 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department was dispatched to an armed robbery call at the Khai Fusion Restaurant at 2823 East State Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On February 4, 2026, at approximately 5:00 p.m., officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department (FWPD) were dispatched to an armed robbery at Khai Fusion.
Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect ordered a meal and left without paying. When confronted by the business owner, the suspect deployed pepper spray before fleeing the scene. The FWPD Street Crimes Unit (SCU) assumed responsibility for the investigation.
Through investigative efforts, detectives identified the suspect as Riyana Harris in connection with the incident, detectives also identified the second suspect as a Juvenile.
On February 17, 2026, SCU detectives located Harris in the 2500 block of Winch Street and conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle she was an occupant in. A juvenile passenger was also located in the vehicle. Detectives had a probable cause affidavit for the juvenile in connection with an unrelated theft investigation.
During the traffic stop, detectives observed marijuana in plain view, which provided probable cause to conduct a search of the vehicle. During the search, detectives located a large quantity of suspected stolen merchandise from multiple retail businesses in Fort Wayne.
Harris was transported to the Allen County Jail. The juvenile connected to the unrelated theft investigation was transported to the Allen County Juvenile Center. A third juvenile was identified and released at the scene without charges at this time.
