A person saw a fire in the window of one of the old East side GE buildings. The first firefighters arrived in less than four minutes. They cut the chain on the security gate to make access to the building. Additional crews used power saws to cut through the buildings security measures to allow crews interior access. Crews made an aggressive and coordinated attack on the fire which was on multiple levels of the building. The second-floor wooden flooring had burned away, leaving holes to the first floor. The crews quickly extinguished and searched the area for anyone – finding no one. Thanks to the call from someone living nearby, a larger fire was avoided.
Fire Damage: Heavy
Water Damage: Minor
