WHERE: Fairfield ElementaryFort Wayne, Indiana (January 12, 2026) — The Fort Wayne Philharmonic is excited to announce the opening of a new Club Orchestra site at Fairfield Elementary School following the close of South Wayne Elementary School at the end of this school year.
Club Orchestra is an exclusive partnership between the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Fort Wayne Community Schools, currently serving students at Forest Park, South Wayne, and Waynedale Elementary Schools. Club Orchestra will continue to operate at South Wayne Elementary through the end of the current season in May 2026. Beginning in 2026-2027, Club Orchestra will be located at the following three school sites: Fairfield, Forest Park, and Waynedale Elementary Schools. Registration information for the 2026-2027 Club Orchestra season will be sent out to all enrolled students at Fairfield, Forest Park, and Waynedale Elementary Schools in August 2026. The Fort Wayne Philharmonic Club Orchestra offers high quality music education free of charge to participating students in the program. Club Orchestra, including Club O (grades 2-5) and Club Kid-O (Pre-K to grade 1), is part of El Sistema, a visionary world movement transforming the lives of children and their communities through music. Club Orchestra’s mission is to empower students by providing an intensive orchestra training program that teaches teamwork and self-confidence and instills social responsibility.
270 Club Orchestra students and 20 staff members have more than 20 performances for the 2025-2026 season program-wide, including the May Celebration Concert on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, 6:30 p.m. (PFW Music Center) with 140 Club O students performing side-by-side with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic and Youth Symphony Orchestra.
