Wellspring Interfaith Social Services and Meijer Support Families in Need Through the Meijer Simply Give Hunger Relief Program
Campaign set to run through March 28, 2026

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 27, 2025) – Wellspring is proud to announce a partnership with Meijer to provide much-needed relief to local families facing food insecurity through the retailer’s customer-driven hunger relief program, Simply Give.

Local partnerships are essential as demand for food assistance continues to rise,” said Ermina Mustedanagic, CEO at Wellspring Interfaith Social Services

Each Meijer Simply Give campaign feeds hungry families by replenishing the shelves of more than 270 food pantries in Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky and Wisconsin. The program encourages customers to add a $10 Simply Give donation card to their cart, which is then converted into a Meijer food-only gift card and given to a local food pantry in the store’s community.

Wellspring will benefit from donation cards at the Fort Wayne Dupont Meijer store now through March 28. In addition, Meijer will double match contributions made on Saturday, March 7 and 21 up to a maximum contribution of $10,000 per pantry per campaign.

“Continued hardships have taught us all the importance of community members supporting each other,” said Ermina Mustedanagic, CEO at Wellspring. “We encourage our community to give and help us feed their neighbors in need in Fort Wayne, Indiana by adding a Meijer Simply Give food donation card to their cart during their next shopping trip.”

“What’s special about the Meijer Simply Give program is each contribution stays local and directly impacts neighborhood food pantries to help feed families in need,” said Melissa Conway, Director of Community Partnerships & Giving at Meijer. “Food insecurity remains a national issue and at Meijer, we’re grateful for our customers and team members who continue to support this program, now in its 17th year.”
