On December 21, 2025, at 2027 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a report of smoke in the area of West State Boulevard and Hensch Street, Fort Wayne Indiana.

Under Control: 2055 hours
Firefighters found the fire in a 2-story in the 600 block of Florence Avenue. Crews aggressively stretched an attack line for fire attack and quickly searched the structure for victims. FWFD crews found the residence vacant. The fire was located quickly and declared under control at 2055 hours, 21 minutes after arriving on the scene.
Crews remained on the scene to search for hidden fire and complete overhaul and salvage efforts to eliminate further damage.
