- Neglect of a Dependent resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Level 3 Felony
- Battery to a child under 14 by a person at least 18 resulting in Serious Bodily Injury, Level 3 Felony
Details/Summary:
On December 11th, 2025, Officers with the Fort Wayne Police Department began an investigation after being called to a local Fort Wayne hospital for an infant with serious injuries. After a thorough investigation, detectives with the Fort Wayne Police Department’s Crimes Against Persons Unit identified Emily Duran as the suspect of the investigation.
On December 19, 2025, through a combined effort from the FWPD’s Crimes Against Persons Unit and Gang & Violent Crimes Unit, Investigators successfully located Duran and she was taken into custody. She was transported to the Allen County Jail.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
