Chief Judge Fran Gull, on behalf of the Board of Judges of the Allen Superior Court, has announced the appointment of George R. Ijames III as the Court’s next Court Executive.

George R. Ijames III appointed to Court Executive position by the Allen Superior Court
Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 11, 2025) – Chief Judge Fran Gull, on behalf of the Board of Judges of the Allen Superior Court, has announced the appointment of George R. Ijames III as the Court’s next Court Executive. In this role, Mr. Ijames will serve as the Chief Administrative Officer of the court, overseeing a broad range of critical functions, including budget management, financial operations, grant administration, human resources, caseload allocation, and the coordination of numerous other administrative responsibilities essential to the effective operation of the court.
Mr. Ijames most recently served as the Director of Court Operations – Information Technology Manager for the Allen Superior Court. During his nearly five years with the Court, he has played a role in modernizing technology systems, improving operational efficiency, and supporting court staff and judicial officers across multiple divisions. He has already begun transitioning into his new role, with the appointment becoming effective in December 2025.
Mr. Ijames succeeds John McGauley, who stepped down in October after eleven years as Court Executive and twenty-four years of service to Allen County. The Board of Judges expressed appreciation for Mr. McGauley’s long-standing dedication to the court and confidence in Mr. Ijames’ ability to continue advancing the mission, stability, and innovation of the Allen Superior Court.
Chief Judge Gull stated, “The Board is delighted that Mr. Ijames accepted our offer and looks forward to working with him in his new capacity. His service to the Court has been invaluable and will continue to be so as our Court Executive.”
