Lingering lake effect snow showers today; another chance for light snow Wednesday night

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 2, 2025) – Lingering lake effect snow showers this morning near Lake Michigan. Another chance for snow arrives Wednesday. Snow starts during the afternoon and evening hours Wednesday lasting into early Thursday. Best chances for >1” of snow accumulation will be near Lake Michigan. Turning sharply colder Thursday night with lows near zero and wind chills well below zero possible.

 

A very cold start to December
Well below normal temperatures persist through this week

Fort Wayne, Indiana (December 2, 2025) – It’s looking likely that the entire first week of December will be below freezing thanks to recent snowpack and an Arctic frontal passage midweek. The last time that the entire first week of December was below freezing was in 2005! Lows near zero are possible Friday morning. Wind chills values near to below zero possible at night, especially mid to late in the week.
