On November 20, 2025, at 2242 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a duplex fire in the 4300 block of Whalers Cove, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 2242 hours
On Scene: 2247 hours
Under Control: 2311 hours
The occupants of the involved unit had been alerted by smoke detectors and self-evacuated. Firefighters found fire in the kitchen and living room. Crews found one person needing assistance getting out of the building. The fire was declared under control in approximately 35 minutes.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Fire Damage: Moderate
Water Damage: Minor
Smoke Damage: Heavy
