Join the City of Fort Wayne for National Take a Hike Day
Fort Wayne, Indiana (November 7, 2025) – Bring a friend and join the City of Fort Wayne’s Greenways and Trails Department to celebrate National Take a Hike Day on Monday, Nov. 17 at noon. Participants will meet at the Pufferbelly Trailhead at the Parkview Family YMCA and head south on the tree-lined Pufferbelly Trail for a leisurely 2-mile stroll.
National Take a Hike Day was created in 1976 by the American Hiking Society as a reminder that hiking can be simple and accessible. It is a call to connect with nature, step away from the daily grind and soak in the beauty of the outdoors.
