FWFD: BTE Storage Fire, 2206 Broadway

On November 5, 2025, at 1959, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was initially dispatched to a brush fire in the woods along the railroad tracks that cross Broadway behind the BTE Storage facility at 2206 Broadway, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1959 hours
On Scene: 2003 hours
Under Control: 2038 hours

Upon arrival, firefighters found an area of the woods on fire and saw smoke coming from a building along the woods – BTE Storage. A structure fire response was initiated, and crews rapidly arrived and began an aggressive attack on the fire that had involved several storage units in the building. Broadway was shut down so hose lines from nearby hydrants could be utilized to provide water. The fire was brought under control 39 minutes after the initial alarm. Numerous other storage units were opened to check for fire extension and cleared.
