On October 22, 2025, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a report of a car in a pond in the Wyndmere Addition area across from Sawmill Woods Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

On Scene: 1151 hours
Under Control: 1227 hours
The driver was an elderly gentleman who possibly had a medical issue which causing him to drive his vehicle across St. Joe Center Road into a pond. The car was partially submerged. The driver was outside the vehicle on the shoreline when FWFD units arrived on scene. FWFD Water Rescue Team members suited up and assisted the tow truck in hooking the vehicle and removing it from the pond.
The driver was evaluated by Three Rivers Ambulance Authority medics on the scene.
