History Center Announces November Programming

Fort Wayne, Indiana (October 15, 2025) – Join us on November 1st and 2nd as we wrap up our 2025 Miami Indian Heritage Days season and November 2nd as we continue with the 2025-2026 George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series.

Our Miami Indian Heritage Days programming concludes with Traders Days on Saturday, November 1st from 10am to 5pm and Sunday, November 2nd, from 12pm to 4pm at the Chief Richardville House, 5705 Bluffton Road. Shop for traditional crafts, goods and wares, and enjoy hands-on demonstrations and interactive educational programs. Traders Days is free and open to the public.

The History Center continues the 2025-2026 George R. Mather Sunday Lecture Series, Sunday, November 2nd, at the History Center, 302 East Berry Street, Fort Wayne. ‘Runaway Hunts’: Uncovering the Hidden History of Indiana’s Two Indian Boarding Schools will be presented by Melissa Rinehart. Learn how two Indian boarding schools in Indiana shaped and often shattered Native lives, languages, and traditions in the late 1800s.

The lecture begins at 2 PM and admission is free to the public.
