FWPD: Shooting Investigation, Hanna and Oxford Streets

On October 4, 2025, at 0315 hours, the Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of an unconscious person on the sidewalk near the intersection of Hanna and Oxford Streets.

Details/Summary:

The Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a report of unconscious person on the sidewalk near the intersection of Hanna St. & Oxford Ave. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at approximately 3:15 am. Officers located an adult male with trauma to his body just south of the intersection. Officers provided medical aid, including CPR, to the male until medics arrived. The male was transported to a local hospital where doctors determined the trauma the result of gunfire. Doctors advised the male’s condition was life-threatening.

Detectives are searching the area for witnesses, evidence, and camera footage. Anyone with information is asked to call the Fort Wayne Police Department at 260-427-1222, Crime Stoppers at 260-436-7867, or use the anonymous P3 Tips App.

This incident is being investigated by the FWPD Homicide Team, Crime Scene, and the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office.

All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
