On October 4, 2025, at 0810 hours, the FWPD Homicide Task Force took shooting suspect Markevius Click into custody without incident in the 3000 block of Warsaw Street.

Details/Summary:
On October 4, 2025, at approximately 0311 hours, Fort Wayne Police Officers responded to an unconscious male on the sidewalk in the area of Oxford St and S. Hanna St. FWPD Officers arrived and located a 21yoa male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Life-saving measures were immediately initiated, and medics transported the male victim to an area trauma hospital in life-threatening condition. FWPD Homicide Detectives responded to the scene and conducted a criminal investigation. Homicide Detectives identified Markevius Click 21yo as a suspect of the shooting, and at approximately 0810 hours, the FWPD Homicide Task Force took Click into custody without incident in the 3000 block of Warsaw St. Click is currently confined at the Allen County Jail.
All criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
