On September 23, 2025, at 1927 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 400 block of Irene Avenue, Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Time of Alarm: 1927 hours
On Scene: 1931 hours
Under Control: 1937 hours
FWFD Engine 6 arrived and found smoke showing from multiple areas of the house. Firefighters made entry and found a fire in the kitchen. The fire was extinguished and other units assisted in checking for fire extension or other problems. The fire was extinguished quickly and all cats made it out of the house.
The cause of the fire was found to be an accidental fire on the stove.
No injuries were reported.
