
On September 8, 2025, at 1552 hours, the Fort Wayne Fire Department was dispatched to a house fire in the 3300 block of Central Drive, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Time of Alarm: 1552 hours
On Scene: 1566 hours
Under Control: 1605 hours
Firefighters arrived to find smoke coming from the front of the house. They were able to extinguish a small fire in one of the bedrooms and the fire was brought under control in approximately ten minutes.
One person was home at the time of the fire and escaped. The occupant was checked by Firefighters for minor smoke inhalation but was not transported to the hospital.
The home had working smoke detectors and operated properly at the time of the fire. The FWFD would like to remind City residents to check their smoke detectors to ensure they are in working order.
