Due to a City of Fort Wayne intersection realignment project, Portage Boulevard will be closed between Taylor Street and Hawthorne Road beginning September 2, 2025, and lasting for approximately one month.

Portage Boulevard between Taylor and Hawthorne to be closed for one month
Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 28, 2025) – Due to a City of Fort Wayne intersection realignment project, Portage Boulevard will be closed between Taylor Street and Hawthorne Road beginning September 2 and lasting for approximately one month. A detour will be posted.
As a service to the community, the City of Fort Wayne Public Works Division provides information about lane restrictions and road closures that have been submitted to us, whether or not they are City of Fort Wayne projects.
