City offices to be closed on Labor Day – 9/1/2025

The City of Fort Wayne’s offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 in recognition of Labor Day.

News release from the City of Fort Wayne:

City offices to be closed on Labor Day

Fort Wayne, Indiana (August 26, 2025) – The City of Fort Wayne’s offices will be closed on Monday, September 1 in recognition of Labor Day.

There will be no residential garbage and recycling collection on Labor Day. The collection schedule will be pushed back one day for the entire week.

City offices will resume regular business hours on Tuesday, September 2.
